More Than a Farmstand
When Dar & Darryl’s Farmstand first started, I don’t think I realized what it might grow into.
At first, it was simply a place to share homemade food, canned goods, fresh things from the garden, and a little bit of whatever we happened to be making at the time. But somewhere along the way, it became more than shelves and jars and baked goods.
It became a place where neighbors stop by, where new friendships begin, where people share stories, and where I get to do something I truly love — make things with my own hands and share them with others.
I’ve learned that a small farmstand doesn’t have to be fancy to be meaningful. Some days are busy. Some days are very quiet. Some things sell out, and other things sit there longer than I hoped. I’m still learning as I go.
But I keep coming back to the same thought: I want this little place to feel welcoming.
I want people to know that when they stop at Dar & Darryl’s Farmstand, they’re supporting a real family, a real home, and a dream that is still growing one loaf of bread, one jar of jam, and one customer at a time.
There is a lot more I hope to share here — recipes, preserving and canning, gardening, baking, behind-the-scenes farmstand life, things I’ve learned the hard way, and probably a few stories that have nothing to do with any of those things.
So, if you’ve found your way here, welcome.
I’m glad you’re here, and I hope you’ll come along as we see what this little farmstand becomes.
